Tropika Blue Couch

Tropika is an improved cultivar of Qld blue couch, highly sought after in both the domestic and commercial fields. It does not thatch up and recovers well from damage and scalping.
It is not as shade tolerant as the Buffalo grasses however it is better than the Green Couches and the original QLD Blue Couch.
Why is a Tropika Blue Couch so Good?
Low Maintenance
Tropika is a blue-couch. It resembles Queensland Blue Couch in colour and appearance, but is hardier and requires less maintenance.
Great Colour and Conditions
Tropika has a beautiful blue colour and a low nutrient requirement. This makes it an excellent choice for home lawns, low nutrient coastal sandy soils, schools, road sides and parklands.
Restricts Weed Development.
Tropika has the ability to naturally suppress other grasses and weeds. Tropika is allelopathic; which means its root system exudes chemicals that act as pre-emergent herbicides. It is a safe and reliable way to achieve and maintain a weed free lawn.
Great Drought Tolerance
Tropika has excellent drought tolerance. During dry periods, Tropika does not thin out like Queensland Blue Couch. Instead it maintains its dense appearance and quickly regains its lush colour after rain/irrigation.
Easy on your Garden
Tropika is also less invasive of garden beds than green couch, because it does not produce underground rhizomes.
