Wintergreen Couch has been planted around the suburbs and regions of Brisbane, the Gold Coast and the Sunshine Coast for around 15 years. It’s a very popular turf variety due to its inexpensive cost, wear capabilities, drought tolerance, and low maintenance characteristics.
Cynodon dactylon Couch is an olive green turf with a fine leaf. Being a variety with a small leaf it does require full sun (normally 6 + hours per day). It has good colour retention in the cooler months but will brown off if frosts occur. However when it does warm up Couch will quickly revert back to its usual colour.
